Why A Community is Important in Earning an Online Income?
Many people enter the foray of earning an income online alone thinking that it is one big answer to all their money problems in the world today. True enough, earning an online income from various avenues like blogging, affiliate marketing, internet marketing, product selling presents an unlimited upside to your income ceiling (if there were a ceiling at all). But is it that simple?
The key word in the first statement in the above paragraph is not ‘earning’, ‘online’ or ‘income’ but rather the word ‘alone’. Why is a community important in earning an online income? Here are
1. No man is an island
This is true in most cases in the world today. Be it fighting in a war, heading a huge corporation or earning a means for your family, no man can survive by himself alone for most of the time. Even if he could like in the movie ‘Cast Away’ (at least he had the ball Wilson for company), it would be so much harder to sustain oneself. This is because we all need support from each other and people thrive in communities. If you don’t have a community, it would more difficult to gain trust and earn an income online.
2. Two brains are better than one / More the Merrier
Arithmetically, this makes sense. But the actual output of having people team up together is even more than have a singular effort in doing things. It’s called “Synergy”. With more people coming together to contribute ideas and efforts, things move faster. Strengths of others make up for the weaknesses of others. Same in earning an income online. You can also find various joint ventures (JV) many internet marketers do to leverage on each other.
3. A shoulder to lean on
Having a community grants support to any faltering internet business owner. Sometimes you would need an expert to shed some advice to what you are doing. Other times, you might need emotional support when someone defames you online and causes your reputation to drop. Sometimes, it just feels good to talk with someone who knows what exactly you are doing. A community does all of that.
As you can see, belonging to a community has strong advantages. Moving alone in earning an income online can be deterring sometimes especially when you face hiccups. With the support of people who does the same things as you do, your success in earning a decent income online significantly increases.
