Encouragement for those starting out on Online Income
A couple of my friends started to ask me why I had the sudden inspiration to try to earn an income online. Honestly speaking, this is not the first time I am picking myself up again and wanting to achieve something online, even it might be a measly sum from the start.
I wanted to try to earn another stream of income from the internet since my academic days in National University of Singapore. Half-heartedness and lukewarm efforts were probably the obstacles I faced despite having a keen interest. Also there was the fear of putting my real identity online. You’d never know what hackers might be doing right? And what secrets others might find out from you if you are too liberal with your information.
So the beginning years of earning an income online are, in a way, too insignificant to be called ‘a business’. It’s just pure meddling. The most i have earned is from a program called Porivo, now Gomez. Off and on, there was that inking to revive the efforts to do something, really. But the reluctance of buying a domain name and web hosting service was a great deterrent. Till now.
If you think about it, starting any conventional business takes up a lot more capital. It eats up thousands of dollars at one go. But for a business online, it reduces to a couple of hundreds at most. If anyone has an aspiration to have their own business in the future and is still reluctant to even put in a couple of hundreds to try out an online venture, that person probably can “dream on” in starting his own business CONVENTIONALLY.
That was my mistake and I think I have finally gone past it. But what gave me the additional push to want to do it even more. Well… it was the community. Seeing successful people who have been there and done that gave me the motivation to go in the same path. It is even more so when those people you have seen succeed are people who are so close to you in locality, environment and age.
