Internet Marketing for Newbies – 4 Step Approach
In Kenneth’s blog, he wrote a post on 4 steps on how to make money on the internet. His testimonial on how he rose from the ashes like a phoenix is really inspiring. You can read it here.
In summary, the 4 steps are:
- Make a Decision
- Stop Looking for Shortcuts
- Decide on a Business Model
- Keep learning and keep working
To make it more personal, I am sharing these 4 steps that i am currently journeying on now:
1. Make a Decision
My decision to start resulted in this blog and domain name. I wrote about my past experience in a blog post, As a risk adverse person who did not like to put money in a place where I have not reaped any benefits yet, this is indeed a MAJOR step for me.
2. Stop Looking for Shortcuts
In the past, i kept looking for get-rich-quick schemes. I even dabbled in some HYIP but in very small amounts. They reaped little fruits. I realised that there are no free lunch in this world. Even if there is, you have to ask for it. So now here i am asking and working for lunches and hopefully along the way, these lunches get more sumptuous.
3. Decide on a Business Model
I have decided that a blogging platform would be a good start as i like to write. But more, i decide on earning via 3 ways for the first year – advertising, building downlines and selling products. And the commonality in them is getting traffic first.
So in the meanwhile, as i chart my learnings and discoveries, I hope to put them down so as to provide useful information to my readers. And if they are truly beneficial, my readers would take action and reap the benefits through my reccomendation.
4. Keep learning and keep working
There’s so much more I need to learn. The next in line is learning how to build an opt-in list. At the same time, i am honing on my traffic generation skills, learing the nuances of SEO and being part of the internet business community. So yea, there is a lot of work to be done and lots to learn.
How about you?
Feel free to comment, blog and trackback your links about your experiences too. Would love to hear about them.
Success to all!
