Me2Everyone – Smells like a scam…
me2everyone is a website that i came across from a fellow investment blogger’s website.
I must say that me2everyone does look cool to some extent and seems “web 2.0-ish”. But what interests me most is that its business case is based on a stock market listing and ad revenue from a massive network of members (100 million by 2012 as they claim).
me2everyone claims to earn income from:
a) Inworld sales tomembers (such as trees, houses, inworld jobs)
b) Business Memberships (costing from £9.90 per week)
c) Business brokering for those expanding to newmarkets
d) Helping to launch new ideas in exchange formarketing rights
e) Selling connected business ventures to entrepreneurs
f) Brand merchandise sales
My personal opinion?
I think me2everyone reeks of MLM as well as being scammy. Reading the above income avenues, i am not too sure whether the business case is sustainable for one. It sure reminds me of Sunshine Empire in Singapore.
If you have heard of HYIP, you would know that most of the time, “upgrades” paid by members who joined later are funnelled as earnings for members on the top of the pyramid. Google “ponzi scheme” and you get what i mean.
well. me2everyone does seem a lot more glamourous than some mere ponzi scheme and does have some potential if it prove itself in the months to come. Hopefully the income is not internally generated which can turn upon itself and implode sooner or later.
To me, despite it being seemingly scammy, i joined me2everyone out of curiosity more than anything else. What’s there to lose? I’ll just play the wait and see and not vest real money in me2everyone. If it turns out to be what it projects, there’s so much to gain anyway.
If you are interested, visit www.me2everyone.com to listen to their presentation and download their “prospectus”. Indeed, me2everyone does seem like it is going to IPO soon.
